Wisdom Acquah: Catanzaro target Torino’s Italian-Ghanaian midfielder

Italian-Ghanaian midfielder Wisdom Acquah is the subject of a rumoured move from Torino to Serie B club Catanzaro.

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder joined Torino’s senior side from the club’s Under-20 team on 1 July 2026 and is under contract until 30 June 2029. The potential move would see him leave the Serie A club for a second-tier team, although there has been no confirmation that an agreement has been reached.

Acquah made 31 appearances in Primavera 1, contributing one assist across 2,076 minutes. He has spent his entire development career with Torino, progressing through the club’s youth teams after joining their academy in 2023.

Born in Calcinate, Italy, Acquah holds Italian and Ghanaian nationality. He stands 1.84m tall and is left-footed.

His reported market value is €400,000, while his contract length gives Torino a degree of control over any potential transfer. The midfielder also won the Italian Under-18 title with Torino in the 2024-25 season.

Catanzaro finished the rumour update as the club linked with Acquah on 13 August, with the proposed move remaining at the speculation stage.
