William Vainqueur Set for AS Roma Move
William Vainqueur, the 26-year-old French midfielder, is on the brink of a move to AS Roma from Dynamo Moscow. The transfer deal, valued at around €3 million, is expected to be completed in the coming hours, with Vainqueur set to sign a three-year contract that will keep him at the Italian club until June 2018.
The Giallorossi have successfully convinced Vainqueur to make the move to Serie A, where he will be reunited with Rudi Garcia, who had been tracking the player’s progress for some time. A medical is scheduled for Saturday in Rome, after which the official confirmation will follow.
Vainqueur, who had previously been linked with a move to Club Brugge, recently dismissed the rumors. While in Russia, the former Standard Liège player continued to express his affection for the Belgian club but has clearly been drawn to the opportunity presented by Roma.
This transfer represents a step forward in Vainqueur’s career, as he looks to prove his worth in Italy’s top flight.
