Wilfried Zaha: Former Crystal Palace star linked with surprise Corinthians move
Wilfried Zaha, the Ivory Coast and England-qualified winger currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Brazilian giants Corinthians. The 33-year-old left Galatasaray at the start of July and is now a free agent, opening the door for negotiations with the Serie A side over a potential short-term deal.
Zaha’s availability on a free, despite a current estimated market value of around €3.5 million, is understood to have alerted Corinthians as they look to add an experienced wide attacker with top-level pedigree. The Abidjan-born forward has amassed more than 300 Premier League appearances across his career, scoring 68 goals and adding 31 assists in England’s top flight, and also brings recent experience from stints in MLS and the Turkish Super Lig.
After ending a long association with Crystal Palace in 2023, Zaha joined Galatasaray and went on to help the Istanbul club secure the Turkish league title and Super Cup in the 2023-24 season. A subsequent loan to Charlotte in MLS in 2025 added another chapter to a varied career that has also included spells with Manchester United, Cardiff City and Lyon.
Corinthians are weighing up whether Zaha’s profile, age and free-agent status make a deal viable in the current window, with no agreement yet in place. For now, the right-footed left winger remains unattached following his official departure from Galatasaray on 1 July 2026.
