Wilfried Bony, formerly of Vitesse Arnhem, where he notched an impressive 31 goals in 30 matches last season in the Eredivisie, made the leap to the Premier League last summer.
A prolific scorer whose reputation continues to soar, Bony has been a sensation at Swansea. With 16 goals in the league and 5 in the Europa League, the Ivorian striker has set his sights higher and harbors ambitions of competing in the Champions League. Recognizing that Swansea may not provide him with such opportunities, Bony has expressed his readiness to depart the club just one year after his arrival.
“I aspire to join a larger club, as any young player would. My goal is to feature in the Champions League from now on. I crave more European matches, as it’s invaluable to face formidable opponents. It’s crucial for me to maintain my form and seize this opportunity,” he revealed to Sky Sports.
The call for a new challenge has been issued.
