Wilfred Ndidi is back in action for Leicester City and ready to feature in the FA Cup clash against Manchester United.
The Nigerian midfielder has been declared fit by manager Ruud van Nistelrooy after spending more than two months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Ndidi sustained the injury on December 8, 2024, during Leicester’s 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, forcing him off in the 52nd minute.
The 28-year-old then embarked on a lengthy rehabilitation process, missing several key fixtures.
However, following weeks of recovery and training, he is set to return to competitive action.
Speaking ahead of the FA Cup fourth-round tie, Van Nistelrooy confirmed Ndidi’s availability.
Wilf is doing well. He had a great week of training last week and this week.
He will be in the team tomorrow,” the Dutch manager told the club’s official website.
Ndidi’s return comes at a crucial time for Leicester, who will need his defensive solidity and ability to control the midfield as they look to upset Manchester United at Old Trafford.
