Westerlo monitor 16-year-old Nigeria midfielder Abduljelil Kamaldeen

Nigeria’s Abduljelil Kamaldeen, who plays for Kwara FA, has been linked with a move to Belgian top-flight club KVC Westerlo.

The 16-year-old attacking midfielder is the subject of a transfer rumour dated 18 August 2026, with Westerlo identified as his potential destination. The Belgian club compete in the Jupiler Pro League.

Kamaldeen was born on 9 September 2009 and is listed at 1.58 metres tall. He remains registered with Kwara FA, the Nigerian club he currently represents, while his international affiliation is listed as Kwara Football Academy.

The teenager’s recorded market value is €25,000, last updated on 25 September 2025. No transfer fee or agreement has been disclosed in connection with the reported interest, and the link does not amount to confirmation that a move has been agreed.

Kamaldeen’s listed position is attacking midfield, placing him among the younger players linked with a possible move from Nigerian football to Europe. Westerlo’s interest, if pursued, would represent a change of club and country for a player who has so far remained with Kwara FA.

For now, Kamaldeen continues to be listed as a Kwara FA player, with the reported connection to Westerlo remaining a transfer rumour.
