West Ham United have turned down Tottenham Hotspur’s initial offer to sign Ghana star Mohammed Kudus.
According to talkSPORT, the Hammers have rejected a £50 million bid from Spurs for their talented attacking midfielder.
Spurs made the offer last week after giving up their interest in Eberechi Eze, but the Hammers immediately rejected it.
Kudus, who scored eight goals in the Premier League last season, is valued for his versatility and potential to increase his goal tally.
If the transfer to Tottenham goes through, Kudus would be the first player to move directly from West Ham to Spurs since Scott Parker in 2011.
Chelsea had previously tried a player-plus-cash deal for the Ghanaian, which was also rejected, and Saudi club Al-Nassr has also expressed interest.
While Kudus has a Saudi-specific release clause of £120 million, both Al-Nassr and Spurs believe West Ham could sell him for less.
