Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus attracting Arsenal and Chelsea interest amid London derby transfer talk

West Ham United have turned down a cash-plus-player offer from Chelsea for Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus, according to fresh reports from Hammers insiders.

The bid, which was reportedly submitted in recent days, is said to have included one or more players from Chelsea’s current squad as part of a proposed swap deal for Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax.

According to Claret and Hugh, a site with strong links to the East London club, the Hammers swiftly rejected the approach.

Chelsea were believed to have offered West Ham a selection of players to choose from in a bid to offset the cost of Kudus.

That shortlist reportedly included Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Robert Sanchez, Carney Chukwuemeka, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Trevoh Chalobah.

However, the offer did not appeal to West Ham’s technical leadership. A senior source within the club told Claret and Hugh, “Sadly, none of the players interest us.”

The rejection signals West Ham’s strong position on Kudus. The Ghana international, who has quickly become a fan favourite, has three years remaining on his contract at the London Stadium.

Chelsea’s interest in Kudus comes amid a wider squad overhaul under Enzo Maresca, who is looking to add dynamism and goal threat from midfield.
