Issa Diop has caught the attention of top clubs following a strong first season with West Ham in the Premier League. The French-Senegalese defender impressed after joining the Hammers last summer and has since become a sought-after talent.
Manchester United is reportedly among the clubs interested in Diop. The former Toulouse player was a target for José Mourinho during his time at the club, and the Red Devils’ interest continues despite Mourinho’s departure.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United is prepared to offer £45 million (around €50 million) plus a player in exchange for Diop, as they look to strengthen their defense. The club had also explored other defensive options, including Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, but both proved too costly. West Ham now faces a significant decision regarding the future of their promising Senegalese-born defender.
