West Brom and Watford eye Kelechi Iheanacho for January move

West Bromwich Albion and Watford are reportedly targeting Sevilla FC striker Kelechi Iheanacho as they look to strengthen their squads ahead of the January transfer window.

Iheanacho, who spent seven seasons at Leicester City before moving to Sevilla in the summer, has struggled to find his footing in Spain.

Despite his solid reputation and past achievements, including his time at Manchester City, the Nigerian international has faced difficulties in establishing himself at the Andalusian club.

The 27-year-old has made seven league appearances for Sevilla this season, most of which have come from the bench.

He has yet to score a goal in La Liga, although he has managed to find the back of the net twice in the Copa del Rey.

His limited involvement in league matches has raised questions about his future at the club, and reports suggest that he could be on the move in the coming weeks.

According to El Sevillista, both West Brom and Watford are interested in bringing Iheanacho back to England in the upcoming transfer window.

The two Championship clubs are reportedly considering a loan deal for the striker, with both aiming for promotion to the Premier League.

A successful move would provide Iheanacho with more regular playing time and the opportunity to rediscover his best form, which has eluded him in recent months.

For West Brom and Watford, the addition of a player of Iheanacho’s pedigree would be a significant boost in their pursuit of Premier League promotion.

The Nigerian’s experience in top-flight football, coupled with his ability to score goals in key moments, could prove invaluable as both teams push for a return to the English top tier.

As the January transfer window approaches, the situation surrounding Iheanacho’s future will be closely monitored, with his next move potentially defining the next stage of his career.
