Werder Bremen consider move for Angers midfielder Yassin Belkhdim
Moroccan-French midfielder Yassin Belkhdim is being linked with a move from Angers SCO to Werder Bremen, with the Bundesliga club reportedly considering a deal for the 24-year-old.
Belkhdim has a contract with Angers until 30 June 2028, meaning the French club would not be under immediate pressure to sell. His current market value is listed at €7m.
The central midfielder has started Angers’ only Ligue 1 match of the 2026-27 season, playing 94% of the available minutes. He made his senior breakthrough after moving from Angers’ reserve side to the first team in January 2024.
A transfer to Werder would take Belkhdim from Ligue 1 to the Bundesliga, although there is no indication that an agreement has been reached between the clubs. The reported likelihood of the move is currently 39%.
Born in Meulan-en-Yvelines on 14 February 2002, Belkhdim holds Moroccan and French nationality and plays predominantly with his right foot. He remains an Angers player under a long-term contract as interest from Germany develops.
