Cameroon international Mahamadou Nagida says his outfit will continue to work in order to achieve their goals following AFCON 2025 heartbreak.
The Indomitable Lions quest of securing the title in Morocco took a nosedive after succumbing to a 2-0 defeat to the Atlas Lions in the quarterfinals of the continental showpiece.
Despite not winning the title, Nagida insists he and his teammates will continue to work to achieve their goals for the national team.
‘I am proud to have been able to participate in this Africa Cup of Nations with my country. Despite our elimination, we will continue to work together to achieve our goals,’ said Nagida.
Nagida, who plies his trade for French outfit Stade Rennes made three appearances for the Indomitable Lions and delivered an assist.
Since making his debut for Cameroon in June 2025, the 20-year-old defender has made nine appearances for the national team and will be hoping to maintain momentum for the impending matches.
Nagida has already returned to Stade Rennes and is expected to feature for the club in their French Ligue 1 clash this weekend.
