Egyptian attacker Ahmed Mostafa Zizo says he and his outfit will do everything possible to make their fans (Al Ahly) happy at the FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
Al Ahly has already arrived in the USA for the much-anticipated tournament, which features 32 teams across the globe.
The Egyptian powerhouse has been paired in Group A against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, FC Porto, and Palmeiras, and will open their account against Inter Miami next weekend.
“I wished to play alongside Mohamed Aboutrika. I have many memories of the Club World Cup, and it would be an honor for me to participate in it with Al Ahly.”
“I remember Abu Trika’s goal against Club America, and I wished I could have played alongside him. God willing, we will achieve a new accomplishment. I can’t wait to play my first match, and everyone here is fully prepared for the start of the journey.”
He added, “It is an honor for me to be at Al Ahly Club. I will give my all, and Al Ahly will strive to do everything possible during the tournament to make the fans happy.”
The 29-year-old recently joined Al Ahly, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2030 after ending his stint with Zamalek.
Zizo sparked a lot of controversy in Egyptian after switching to join Zamalek’s sworn-rivals this summer.
