‘We will fight to finish fourth in the Egyptian League’ – Ceramica Cleopatra coach Ali Maher
The head coach of Ceramica Cleopatra, Ali Maher, has revealed his team’s ambition for the 2025/26 Egyptian Premier League season.
Speaking after the team’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Al Ahly at Cairo International Stadium, the coach said his team will continue to fight in the upcoming matches to achieve their ambition of finishing in the top four at the end of the campaign.
“My team put in a great effort, and I admit that our performance wasn’t great in the first half, but we managed to reach Al Ahly’s goal after numerous attempts.
“Our goal is to be in the top four of the league, which is difficult, but we will fight to achieve it,” Ali Maher said in his post-match interview.
Following the defeat to Al Ahly, Ceramica Cleopatra sit 8th in the Egyptian Premier League with 10 points from six games.
The team has one outstanding match and could climb higher if they can pick all three points from that match.
