We will do everything possible to qualify for 2026 FIFA World Cup – Mali Coach Tom Saintfiet
The head coach of Mali, Tom Saintfiet, has emphasised that his team is determined to give its all to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Eagles are in Ghana ahead of their crucial Group I clash against the Black Stars on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking to journalists after the team arrived in Ghana, Saintfiet acknowledged the strength of the opposition but insisted Mali are ready to rise to the challenge.
“Ghana is the best team in our group. They are four points ahead of us, but we are here to make history and win here,” he said.
Despite the gap in points, the Belgian coach maintained confidence that his side can still achieve their dream of reaching the global stage.
“We will make everything possible to qualify for the World Cup,” he added.
The crucial Group I showdown between Ghana and Mali on Monday kicks off at 19:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
