We know it is not good enough - Cody Gakpo on Chelsea defeat

Cody Gakpo has spoken honestly following Liverpool’s dramatic 2-1 loss to Chelsea, a result that marks a troubling third consecutive defeat for the Reds.

The striker, who found the back of the net in this latest Premier League clash, didn’t sugarcoat the team’s situation during his interview with Sky Sports.

“It’s difficult to take,” Gakpo admitted. “We played against a great side. Their first-half goal was superb, and the match was evenly balanced. In the second half, we pushed hard for an equaliser and managed to play better, but Chelsea remained dangerous on the counter. Conceding in the last minute hurts a lot.”

As the pressure mounts, Gakpo emphasised the high expectations at a club of Liverpool’s stature. “When you play here, it’s normal to know that losing three straight games isn’t good enough. We’re all aware of where we stand. It’s up to us to regroup and get back to winning ways.”

Despite Gakpo’s efforts, Liverpool’s struggles continue, and the team faces growing scrutiny from both fans and pundits
