Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi has criticised the performance of winger Jadon Sancho.
According to him, the attacker’s performance since December has been below expectations.
Speaking in an interview, Mikel stressed that the recent performances of Sancho have been unacceptable, urging him to sit up.
“He came through the door and showed why I wanted him, the first few games he showed why he should be here, he was running at players, creating chances but since December we haven’t seen anything from Jadon, he cannot relax here,” Obi Mikel said.
Jadon Sancho signed for Chelsea on loan from Manchester United last summer.
With a buy option clause in the deal, the Blues will decide on securing his services permanently at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
Since arriving at Chelsea, Sancho has scored two goals and provided five assists after making 20 appearances.
