We have to learn to suffer when we’re down to ten men – Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe showed once again why he is the heartbeat of Real Madrid as his brilliance carried Los Blancos to a 2-1 win over Olympique de Marseille at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Even with the odds against them, the French star made the difference when it mattered most.
The night looked difficult for Madrid after Dani Carvajal was sent off with a straight red card, leaving the team to fight with 10 men. But Mbappé rose to the occasion, scoring twice and turning pressure into triumph.
Speaking after the match, the striker said: “This is the Bernabéu. Whether we’re down to 10 or 9 men, we’ll have our moment, and our moment has come.”
“The same thing happened against Real Madrid. We have to learn to suffer when we’re down to ten men.”
Beyond the goals, Mbappe created six chances, the most in the game, and his relentless drive inspired teammates and fans. His performance earned him the man of the match award.
