Morocco U-17 head coach, Nabil Baha, says they are focused and determined to achieve their goals.
After drawing against Zambia, Morocco will clash with Tanzania in their final group game on Sunday at the Stade El Bachir, Mohammédia.
“Nothing has changed despite the draw against Zambia. It is true that we were hoping for another victory to secure our early passage to the next round, but what happened has happened, and we must focus on the match against Tanzania (scheduled for the day after tomorrow, Sunday),” he told the press.
“Our bet and goal still stands, which is to win the cup, God willing, in front of our fans, and to be present at the World Cup in Qatar. We are awaiting the strong support of the fans.
“We have to benefit from what happened against Zambia because the upcoming matches will put us through very strong tests. We have the potential to achieve all the goals we planned for,” he added.
Morocco’s tally rose to 4 points at the top of Group A, on goal difference over its closest competitor, Zambia. Uganda is in third place with 3 points, while Tanzania remains at the bottom of the standings without a point.
Morocco kicked off the tournament with a 5-0 victory over Uganda.
