Alphonso Davies etched his name into Bayern Munich’s Champions League journey with a dramatic stoppage-time goal against Celtic.
The full-back, returning from injury, came off the bench to rescue the German giants in the dying moments of the match.
With Bayern trailing late, Davies pounced in the 94th minute, securing a 3-2 aggregate victory and a place in the tournament’s round of 16. His instinctive finish sent the Allianz Arena into a frenzy, capping off a tense encounter against a determined Celtic side.
“This is Champions League. We played against a good Celtic. They came here fully motivated. But that’s just football. It is not easy to play so many games. We have defended quite well and not much approved,” Davies said after the match.
The 23-year-old also shared an amusing insight into his decisive strike. “It was like training. I just wanted to be in the box and instinctively held my foot.”
Bayern will now set their sights on the knockout stage, with Davies proving once again why he’s one of their most electric game-changers.
