German defender of Ivorian descent, Jonathan Tah, is confident the team will overcome Chelsea in their opening game against Chelsea in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League season.

The experienced centre-back was in action for the Munich-based club on Saturday, helping the side to thrash Hamburger SV 5-0 in the German Bundesliga.

Speaking after the game, Jonathan Tah warned that although Bayern Munich will not be able to score four goals in the first half of every match, it is always possible for the Munich-based club to hurt any team to win any match.

“We have to maintain our conviction in our style of play. That’s what makes us strong. Our high pressing, our play with the ball, our high tempo, our intensity. That’s our weapon. We won’t always score four goals in the first half, but over the course of a full game, we can hurt any opponent,” Tah said.

While Bayern Munich have a very strong team, they will have to fight to beat Chelsea, a side with a lot of young talent.

The UEFA Champions League fixture between Bayern Munich and Chelsea will be played on Wednesday, September 17. The game kicks off at 7 pm at Allianz Arena.
