‘We are hungry to qualify for 2026 World Cup’ – New Black Stars assistant coach Desmond Offei

Ghana assistant coach Desmond Offei says the newly constituted Black Stars technical is poised to secure qualification to the 2026 World Cup tournament.

The West African powerhouse are currently tied on nine points at the summit of the standings with Comoros after four matches in Group I.

The Black Stars will resume for the continuation of the 2026 World Cup qualification in March 2025.

Coach Otto Addo and his charges will take on Chad and Madagascar in a crucial games that could determine their chances of securing a spot for the mundial.

And according to Offei, the newly assembled technical is posied to fix the fortunes of the Black Stars.

“We have a lot of work to do we but I think we’re in a good position to qualify the team for the World Cup and everybody’s hungry and we have a new head of video analyst, we have a psychologist or sports mental coach as you want to call it, so I feel like everybody’s hungry to make sure that we qualify to the WORLD CUP” he said.
