Ghana will face another setback as midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng will miss the first leg of the 2014 World Cup play-offs against Egypt on October 15 due to a knee injury. The Schalke 04 player sustained the injury over the weekend while scoring a penalty against Augsburg. This adds to the challenges faced by Ghana’s coach, Kwesi Appiah, who is already without defenders Jonathan Mensah, John Boye, and Mohammed Rabiu. Boateng, who recently returned to the Ghanaian national team, had previously missed a match against Zambia due to injury.
