Warren Bondo turns down Turkish moves as AC Milan exit stalls

Warren Bondo is expected to remain at AC Milan until at least the January transfer window after rejecting two offers from clubs in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been under pressure to leave the Italian club, with AC Milan’s management actively seeking a solution that would reduce the size of the squad and allow the club to adjust its sporting plans.

However, Bondo has refused to allow the club’s preference to determine his next move. The midfielder, who was born in Evry and is of Democratic Republic of the Congo origin, is resisting efforts to push him towards the exit and does not want to rush into a decision about his future.

Bondo, formerly of Monza, has turned down both concrete proposals made by Turkish clubs. Those interested parties have continued to show persistence, while AC Milan’s management has also made further efforts to complete a transfer before the close of the current window.

Despite that pressure, Bondo remains unwilling to compromise over the next stage of his career. He is understood to be prioritising a sporting project that better matches his ambitions rather than accepting the first available opportunity to leave San Siro.

Unless there is a late change in circumstances, the midfielder will stay with AC Milan through the first part of the season. His decision would give him additional time within the squad to demonstrate his qualities in training and assess his position without being forced into an immediate move.

Remaining in Milan also allows Bondo to wait for a more suitable opportunity. Rather than committing to one of the Turkish offers currently on the table, he has chosen stability within the AC Milan dressing room and will reconsider his options when the transfer market reopens in January.

The club had hoped to find a departure for the midfielder as it works to streamline its squad, but Bondo’s stance has made an agreement before the end of the market increasingly difficult. For now, the player’s position is clear: he does not intend to give in to the pressure to leave and is preparing to continue his time at AC Milan.

His future could therefore become one of the issues to revisit during the winter window, when Bondo and the club will have the opportunity to review the situation with several more months of training and competitive football behind them.
