Walid Regragui to coach in Saudi Pro League in case of Morocco exit

Fresh reports from Saudi Arabia have sparked speculation over the future of Walid Regragui, suggesting the Morocco national team coach has emerged as a leading candidate for a high-profile role in the Saudi Pro League should he part ways with the Atlas Lions.

According to Saudi outlet Al-Wiam, Regragui is viewed as the frontrunner to take over at Al-Ittihad next season. The report claims the club is considering a managerial change following inconsistent performances and a perceived dip in results under current head coach Sergio Conceicao.

The same newspaper dismissed speculation linking the Jeddah-based side with Spanish tactician Xavi, insisting that no talks have taken place with the former Barcelona manager in recent weeks.

Despite the growing rumours, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has firmly denied reports suggesting an imminent separation from Regragui. The federation maintains that the national team coach remains in his post, as uncertainty lingers over what developments the coming days may bring.

As things stand, Regragui continues to lead the Atlas Lions, even as external interest adds another layer of intrigue to his future.
