Walid Nekaila: Morocco defender linked with Hatta Club move
Morocco centre-back Walid Nekaila, who is currently without a club, has been linked with a move to UAE Pro League side Hatta Club.
The 22-year-old defender left SCC Mohammedia on 1 July 2026 and is now being discussed as a potential addition for the Emirati club. No transfer fee or contract details have been reported in connection with the proposed move.
Nekaila made 33 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi during his time with SCC Mohammedia, playing 2,450 minutes and registering one assist. He also made three appearances in the Excellence Cup.
The right-footed centre-back joined SCC Mohammedia’s senior side from the club’s reserve team in July 2023, having previously developed within the SCCM youth system. He remained with the Moroccan club until his departure this summer.
Hatta compete in the UAE Pro League, providing a possible overseas move for Nekaila after his spell in Moroccan football. The club has been identified as the side linked with the defender, although the available information does not indicate whether negotiations have advanced or when a deal could be completed.
Nekaila’s current status remains unchanged: he is unattached after leaving SCC Mohammedia, with any move to Hatta yet to be confirmed.
