Waleed Al-Rakraki, the national team coach, spoke about the reasons for the national team’s draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo, ending in a 1-1 stalemate on Sunday, in the second round of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Al-Rakraki stated after the match, “The game was not easy, and we aimed for victory, but we missed many opportunities in the first half.
During the second half, fatigue set in due to the high temperature and humidity.”
He added, “This was a good test for us, and we learned a lot from today’s match.
The players did not give up despite the challenging weather conditions, and now we will focus on the third match to secure qualification.”
