Defending champions Ghana secured third place at the WAFU B Women’s Tournament after a tense showdown against Mali on Saturday. The Black Queens prevailed in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw in regulation time, claiming the final spot on the podium.
Mali, like last year, narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing just outside the top three. Ghana’s victory ensured they left the tournament with some consolation after failing to reach the final, demonstrating their resilience and composure in high-pressure situations.
