Kamel Chafni Leaves Wydad Casablanca After Disappointing Season
Kamel Chafni, once the most expensive signing in Botola Pro history, has officially parted ways with Wydad Casablanca after a largely disappointing stint. Despite the team’s success—winning the Moroccan championship—Chafni’s personal season was marred by injuries and lack of playing time, with the former Auxerre midfielder featuring in only four matches throughout the campaign.
According to Marrakecharryadia, the 33-year-old has already signed a two-year contract with Kawkab Marrakech, the club that finished third in the last league season and qualified for the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup.
Chafni now hopes to revive his career and return to form with Kawkab, offering him both a fresh start and continental competition experience.
