The Algerian national volleyball team secured a place in the last qualifying tournament for the 2014 World Cup in Poland after defeating Morocco 3-0. The victory came on the second day of the first qualifying tournament held in Tunis. The tournament also featured Tunisia, which had already secured qualification based on its world ranking. In the final tournament, Algeria will compete in Group A alongside Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad, Rwanda, and Kenya. The top team from each group will qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Poland, with Africa represented by three countries. The final tournament is scheduled for January and February 2014.
