Volleyball World Cup: Tunisia Suffers Third Defeat Against Russia
Tunisia continues to struggle at the Volleyball World Cup in Japan, enduring a third consecutive defeat on Thursday at the hands of Olympic champions Russia, who won 3-0.
The Carthage Eagles were outclassed in the first two sets, falling 25-17 and 25-16. Despite a valiant effort in the third set, where they pushed Russia to 29-27, the Tunisians ultimately came up short.
This marks Tunisia’s third loss in the tournament, following earlier defeats to:
Poland (3-0)
Iran (3-1)
Their next challenge will be against Venezuela on Saturday, as they look to finally get their campaign on track.
