Vitinha committed to Paris Saint-Germain despite interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain are not considering the sale of Vitinha, despite interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona and clubs in the Premier League.

The Portugal midfielder, 26, has established himself as one of the world’s leading players in his position under manager Luis Enrique. His contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until June 2029, and the club is understood to have no intention of allowing him to leave.

Vitinha is also said to be happy in the French capital and wants to continue competing for trophies with the Parisian club. According to French outlet Foot Mercato, that desire has influenced the handling of potential approaches for the player.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, is reported to have rejected possible offers in recognition of Vitinha’s wish to remain at Paris Saint-Germain. Real Madrid regard the midfielder as an ideal addition to their midfield, although they have not yet made a concrete move to sign him.

Vitinha’s estimated market value is €140m, a figure that reflects his growing importance to Luis Enrique’s team. His technical ability, control of the tempo and influence in major matches have made him a key part of the club’s system, particularly in the Champions League.

Reports have suggested there could be an informal agreement that would make a departure easier, but Vitinha’s contract does not contain a release clause. There is also no clear indication that he intends to pursue a transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain.

His strong relationship with Luis Enrique provides another reason for the midfielder to continue with the French side. Under the manager, Vitinha has become one of the central figures in the team and has developed into a player attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

However, that interest has so far failed to change either the club’s position or the player’s preference. With a contract lasting until June 2029 and no release clause in place, a fee of €140m would not by itself be enough to guarantee Vitinha’s departure from Paris Saint-Germain.
