Vinicius Junior is on the brink of committing his long-term future to Real Madrid after verbally agreeing to a contract extension until 2030, according to AS.
The Brazilian winger, who turned 25 on July 12, has become one of the club’s most vital players since joining from Flamengo in 2018 for €45m.
Despite recent struggles in form and growing speculation after Madrid’s heavy loss to PSG, Vinicius remains central to the team’s plans. He has reportedly rejected a staggering €1bn offer from Saudi Arabia, signaling his intention to stay loyal to Los Blancos.
Still under contract until 2027, Vinicius’s new deal would make him the club’s top earner, potentially taking home €20m per season, surpassing Kylian Mbappé’s wages. His agent, Frederico Pena, is cautious about ultra-long deals but is believed to be on board with the agreement.
Currently enjoying his holiday in the U.S., Vinicius is balancing NBA games, Nike duties, and time with teammate Eduardo Camavinga. The final signature is expected upon his return.
With 322 appearances, 106 goals, and 75 assists, Vinicius has already won two Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles.
