Vinicius Junior reveals Real Madrid’s hidden Valdebebas tribute to 100-goal stars

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has given supporters a glimpse of a previously unseen corner of the club’s Valdebebas training complex, where the club is honouring players who have scored at least 100 goals for the first team.

The Brazilian included an image of the display in a selection of photographs shared on his social media accounts as he looked back on his summer.

The tribute is positioned beside one of the pitches at Valdebebas and features images of Real Madrid’s modern-day goalscorers. The players included are those who reached the 100-goal mark at some stage during their careers with the club.

Vinicius is among the names represented, with his own commemorative image shown alongside those of Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Fernando Hierro, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Morientes, Ronaldo Nazario, Raul Gonzalez, Gonzalo Higuain and Gareth Bale.

The display had not been clearly visible to supporters, meaning Vinicius’s post offered many Real Madrid fans their first look at the tribute. His decision to share the photograph also highlighted the number of small details contained within the club’s sporting complex.

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the photograph was posted at the start of September, when Vinicius chose to reflect on the summer through a distinctive collection of images shared with his followers.

Rather than focusing solely on holiday moments, the Real Madrid forward also included a detail from the club’s training base that had largely escaped public attention. The image showed the section dedicated to the club’s leading modern scorers and revealed that Vinicius himself has been added to the group.

His inclusion places him in the company of several of the most prominent attacking and defensive figures in Real Madrid’s history. The collection includes former captains, prolific forwards and players who became closely associated with the club during different eras.
