Vinicius Junior camp fires warning shot as Real Madrid future sparks transfer storm
Vinicius Junior’s representatives have launched a strong defence of the Real Madrid forward, accusing sections of the media of spreading “fake and damaging information” amid growing speculation over his future at the Spanish giants.
Roc Nation Sports International, the agency that manages the Brazilian winger, issued a statement on Sunday criticising reports surrounding the 26-year-old, describing some coverage as “unprofessional” and calling for greater responsibility from journalists and media outlets.
The statement comes at a time when uncertainty continues to surround Vinicius’ situation at the Santiago Bernabeu, with negotiations over a potential contract extension reportedly proving difficult.
Michael Yormark, president of Roc Nation Sports International, expressed frustration over what he described as unfair treatment of the Real Madrid star.
“Roc Nation Sports International and our entire team cannot stand idle when unprofessional and uninformed media publish fake and damaging information for attention-seeking purposes,”
Yormark wrote on Instagram.
“This is especially unacceptable when it personally targets our clients without any foundation. It is disruptive, harmful and libellous. Media outlets and journalists need to hold themselves more accountable.”
Transfer speculation grows around Real Madrid winger
Although the agency did not point to specific reports, the timing of the statement coincides with increasing rumours about Vinicius’ long-term future in Madrid.
The forward, who has established himself as one of world football’s most influential players since joining Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018, is entering the final phase of his current deal.
The lack of progress over a renewal has created uncertainty and opened the door for speculation about a possible move away from the Spanish capital.
Vinicius remains a key figure for Real Madrid, having played a central role in the club’s recent successes, including their Champions League triumphs and domestic dominance.
However, with talks reportedly not moving as smoothly as expected, Europe’s biggest clubs are keeping a close watch on developments.
Arsenal monitoring situation as rivals circle
Among the clubs linked with a potential move is Arsenal, who are believed to be monitoring the winger’s situation closely.
The Premier League side could reportedly be prepared to explore different financial structures, including adjustments to their wage model and image-rights opportunities, in an attempt to make a move for one of football’s biggest names possible.
Vinicius’ profile, market value and attacking ability make him one of the most sought-after players in world football, meaning any uncertainty over his future is likely to attract continued attention.
For now, the Brazilian remains focused on Real Madrid, but his representatives’ public response highlights the growing tension surrounding speculation over his next career move.
