Vinicius Jr clear on Real Madrid future

Vinicius Jr has sent a strong signal about his future, choosing stability at Real Madrid while contract talks drag on.

Still negotiating a renewal with the Spanish giants, the Brazilian winger has reportedly decided to stay in Madrid next season whether a new deal is agreed or not. Rather than rushing, he is using time as leverage, effectively placing the responsibility on the club’s hierarchy to meet his demands.

Spanish media report that Vinicius is prepared to see out his contract and even leave on a free transfer if Real do not move, even though his priority remains to sign an extension.

Linked repeatedly with lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, the 25-year-old remains firm: his present is at the Bernabeu. Under contract until 2027, both his camp and the club intend to resume talks after the 2026 World Cup to seek an agreement on improved terms.

For now, Vinicius appears in a position of strength. Negotiations are on hold, no breakthrough is in sight, yet he has made his stance crystal clear: he stays at Real Madrid, at least until 2027, even if that means walking away for free at the end.
