Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany says he is proud of everything he achieved as a player during his 11 years with Manchester City.
The former Belgium international joined the English club in 2008 and remained there until 2019.
“I played for Manchester City for 11 years, and I loved every one of those years and everything we achieved and accomplished on the pitch,” Kompany said at a news conference.
“That is something I am genuinely proud of.”
Kompany was also asked about matters relating to Manchester City outside his playing career. The Premier League previously announced that the club was guilty of all the charges brought against it covering the period from 2009 to 2018.
“As for the other matters, they have nothing to do with the player,” Kompany said. “As Bayern Munich’s manager, I am not paying much attention to this issue. My focus now is on preparing for the match we have to win tomorrow.”
During his time at Manchester City, Kompany won the Premier League four times. He also lifted the FA Cup twice and the League Cup four times.
Bayern Munich travel to face Augsburg on Saturday in matchday five of the Bundesliga.
The Bavarian club are second in the table with 10 points, two behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
