Vincent Enyama, the goalkeeper for Lille, was awarded the trophy for the best goalkeeper in Ligue 1 for the second consecutive time. The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the LOSC-Reims match. Enyama received 59% of the votes, surpassing Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic (32%) and Marseille’s Florian Thauvin (9%).
In addition to being included in the Ligue 1 season’s best eleven, the former Maccabi Tel-Aviv goalkeeper was also named the Best African Goalkeeper of the Year for 2013. Enyama’s exceptional performance, conceding only six goals in 19 league matches, contributed significantly to his individual accolades. Moreover, he played a crucial role in helping Nigeria qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
