Vincent Bossou, the robust Togolese central defender, is changing clubs within the V-League (Vietnamese first division). He is leaving Becamex Binh Duong for Hung Vuong An Giang. Bossou had spent a year with Becamex after leaving Navi Bank Saigon.
The decision to depart Becamex is attributed to financial challenges faced by the club. According to Bossou, one of the prominent clubs in the country is undergoing financial difficulties, leading to the departure of some of their key players.
Bossou, known for his standout performances, particularly against players like Drogba, Dagano, and Slimani in the 2013 African Cup of Nations, remains a revelation for Togo. At 27, with previous stints at Maranatha de Fiokpo (D1) and Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia), he had expressed a desire to leave Vietnam, favoring potential opportunities in France or Germany. However, he will have to wait for such moves to materialize.
