Victor Osimhen blocked from Juventus move by anti-Italy clause
Victor Osimhen’s hopes of joining Juventus this summer appear effectively shut down by a powerful clause linked to his move from Napoli to Galatasaray.
Both the Nigerian striker and Juventus are keen on a deal, but any transfer to another Italian club is off the table for now.
Before Osimhen left Napoli permanently for Galatasaray last summer, the Serie A side inserted a penalty clause into the agreement. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Galatasaray would have to pay Napoli around €70 million if they sell Osimhen to an Italian club within the first two years of the deal.
In the 2026 summer window, any sale to a Serie A side such as Juventus would trigger the full €70m penalty, while in 2027 that figure drops to €50m, with the clause expiring on 1 September 2027.
Given Galatasaray already invested about €75 million to sign Osimhen, it is highly unlikely they will risk a financial loss or pay Napoli again.
As a result, a switch to Juventus looks practically impossible in the short term, despite strong mutual interest.
