Victor Adeboyejo: Nigeria-born forward joins Bromley on free transfer from Mansfield Town

Nigeria-born centre-forward Victor Adeboyejo has joined Bromley from Mansfield Town on a free transfer as the League One club move to bolster their attacking options. The 28-year-old, who also holds English nationality, arrives with considerable experience across the EFL and will wear the number 20 shirt.

Adeboyejo switches to Bromley after a short spell at Mansfield, whom he joined from Bolton Wanderers in January 2026. His move is a permanent free transfer, with the forward becoming one of Bromley’s most notable arrivals of the summer window.

Standing at 1.78m and operating primarily through the middle, Adeboyejo brings a proven record in the Football League. Across his career he has made more than 160 appearances in League One alone, scoring 31 goals and adding six assists. He has also played in the Championship, League Two and various domestic cup competitions, accumulating thousands of minutes at senior level.

The Ibadan-born striker’s journey has taken in a number of clubs, including Barnsley, Burton Albion and Bolton, as well as several loan spells earlier in his career. His performances at Burton in particular paved the way for his transfer to Bolton in January 2023 for a reported €570,000 fee, underlining the regard in which he has been held in the third tier.

Adeboyejo’s most recent assessed market value stood at €400,000 earlier this year, reflecting his standing as an experienced League One forward. His move to Bromley, confirmed on 13 July 2026, sees him join the club on a permanent free transfer from Mansfield Town.
