German Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart have completed the signing of Moroccan midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.
The club announced the signing of the youngster in an official statement on Monday, September 1.
The 21-year-old joins on loan from English second division club Leicester City, with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2026. A transfer fee of €25 million will then be due.
It is understood that the transfer was also made possible by the sale of Nick Woltemade to Newcastle United, which brought VfB a proud 85 million euros.
Speaking on the signing, VfB Stuttgart Sporting Director Fabian Wohlgemuth said “We are delighted that we were able to complete the transfer of Bilal El Khannouss. He is a young, developing player who will showcase his strengths in attack both in the center and on the wings. With his dribbling ability, speed, and passing, he increases the variability of our attacking play. His international experience makes him a real asset to our team.”
On his part, El Khannouss said, “My first impressions are very positive – I’m happy that everything worked out. VfB Stuttgart is a big club that has been on a successful path in recent years. I’m looking forward to my time here and can’t wait to get started.”
