In the Venice Marathon held last Sunday, Kenyan runner Philémon Kisang finished in the lead with a time of 2 hours, 17 minutes, and 00 seconds, despite challenging weather conditions. He was followed by fellow Kenyans Titus Masai (2:18:02) and Elija Karanja (2:19:41). Among the women, Ethiopian runners secured a hat-trick, with Emebi Etea Bedada winning the marathon in 2:38:11, followed by Halima Hassen Beriso and Eticha Fantu Jimaa.
The Venice Marathon, held over a distance of 42.195 km, has become a popular event over its 26 editions, attracting participants from around the world who get to enjoy breathtaking views of the Italian city during the race.
