Venezia complete €22m deal to sign Sevilla striker Akor Adams

Venezia have confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker Akor Adams from Sevilla, completing a major attacking addition ahead of their return to Serie A.

The 26-year-old forward has penned a long-term deal with the newly promoted club running until 30 June 2030, underlining the Venetians’ belief that he can lead their line for years to come.

The transfer is reported to be worth 22 million euros in total, with 16 million euros paid up front and a further 6 million tied to performance-related bonuses. It is a huge outlay for Venezia, who see Adams as the ideal focal point for a squad that topped Serie B in 2025/26 and is now targeting stability in the top flight.

Adams arrives in Italy on the back of an impressive season at Sevilla, where he registered 10 goals and four assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. Before moving to La Liga in January 2025, he built his reputation with spells at Montpellier, Lillestrøm and Sogndal. A full Nigeria international, he has six goals and two assists from 15 caps, and Venezia hope his physical presence, penalty-box instincts and international experience will significantly boost their attacking threat in Serie A.
