Spanish La Liga outfit Valencia are on the verge of securing a loan deal for Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq, with the transfer set to be completed in the next few days.
Radio MARCA Valencia reports that advanced talks have taken place with both Real Sociedad and the player, with the final hurdle being Sadiq’s medical examination.
The 27-year-old Nigerian has struggled to make an impact since joining Real Sociedad in 2022, managing just three goals in 36 appearances last season.
This term, he has played only 482 minutes across 11 matches, prompting the club to consider loaning him out.
Valencia, in need of a reliable striker, have been let down by summer signings Rafa Mir and Dani Gómez.
Mir has scored just once in seven appearances, while Gómez has found the net three times in 15 outings.
With Mir currently sidelined due to injury, Valencia are keen to bolster their attacking options by bringing in Sadiq.
