Valencia B linked with German-Beninese defender Yannis Ahouannou
Yannis Ahouannou, the German-Beninese centre-back at Eintracht Frankfurt U19, has been linked with a move to Valencia B in Spain’s Segunda Federacion.
The reported switch would take the 18-year-old from Frankfurt’s under-19 set-up to Valencia’s reserve side, with the rumour emerging on 2 September. No transfer fee or probability has been attached to the proposed move.
Ahouannou joined Frankfurt U19 from the club’s under-17 team on 1 July 2025 and remains under contract until 30 June 2028. He has been registered as a central defender and wears number 26 for the Frankfurt youth side.
He has yet to appear in the current U19 DFB-Nachwuchsliga campaign, with Frankfurt having played four possible matches in the opening stage of the competition. Ahouannou has not recorded an appearance, goal or assist this season.
The potential move would represent a departure from the German youth system for a player who holds Germany and Benin nationality. Valencia B compete in Group III of the Segunda Federacion, while Frankfurt U19 play in Group C of the U19 Nachwuchsliga.
Ahouannou’s current agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt runs through the end of June 2028, meaning any move would require an agreement between the clubs unless his contractual situation changes.
