Adil faces a language barrier that may lead to concerns during his time at Valencia. The French defender’s outspokenness has resulted in disciplinary action from the club due to what was deemed as “disrespectful” remarks towards his coach. Adil expressed his bewilderment and dissatisfaction with the decision in a press release.
“I would like to react to the sanction I received yesterday by the decision of my club, FC Valencia, an unfounded sanction which I disapprove of,” he stated. “I regret this situation, which sullies my relationship with the club and its supporters, for whom I have always worked with the utmost respect and perfect loyalty. This dispute will be resolved in a sporting spirit and in dialogue with the club, as I have always wished, and with the frankness that characterizes me.”
