Despite his impressive season with FC Bruges, Vadis Odjidja acknowledges that he won’t be part of Marc Wilmots’ squad for the World Cup in Brazil. Recognizing the stiff competition among the Red Devils, the Belgian midfielder of Ghanaian origin looks ahead to the future, setting his sights on a place in the Belgian selection for Euro 2016.
“It’s almost impossible for me to be in the group. There are so many midfielders who all play for big clubs abroad. I am ambitious but also realistic,” Odjidja stated in Sport/Voetbalmagazine. He added, “Brazil is not possible for me but there will still be European Championships and World Championships to follow. I think I have the required qualities.”
