USFA turn to four-goal attack for Edo Queens semi-final

The USFA women will face Edo Queens FC on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, with a place in the final of the UFOA-B qualifying tournament for the CAF Women’s Champions League at stake.

The semi-final will be played at the Stade du 4-Aout in Ouagadougou, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT. USFA will hope a group of attacking and defensive players who have already scored in the competition can help them secure progress to the deciding match.

Captain Diewalea Sow is among the leading figures expected to influence the contest. The Burkina Faso international defender operates on the left side and has scored twice during the tournament.

Her contribution gives USFA an additional threat from defence, while her leadership will also be important in a match that determines whether the club remains in contention for qualification to the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Charlotte Millogo is also among USFA’s scorers in the competition. The captain of the Burkina Faso national team brings further experience to the squad as the team prepares for its most important match of the tournament so far.

With Sow, Guira, Yeboah and Millogo all having scored, USFA possess a range of threats as they look to overcome Edo Queens FC. The match in Ouagadougou offers the Burkinabe club the opportunity to move one step closer to the CAF Women’s Champions League, but they must first negotiate a semi-final against the Nigerian side on Wednesday afternoon.
