Upamecano rules out PSG move and commits future to Bayern

Dayot Upamecano has firmly shut the door on a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain, at least for the foreseeable future.

Speaking before Bayern Munich’s Champions League semi-final first leg against PSG, the French defender made it clear he is happy where he is and not planning a change of scenery.

In a press conference reported by Canal Supporters, the former RB Leipzig defender underlined his commitment to the Bundesliga giants. “No. Right now I’m at Bayern, one of the best clubs in the world. I’m very happy to be here,” said Upamecano when asked about the possibility of joining PSG. His words leave little room for transfer speculation, especially with such a key European tie on the horizon.

The 27-year-old France international is under contract with Bayern until June 2030, reinforcing the idea that he is a long-term pillar of the project in Munich.

PSG host Bayern this Tuesday in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, adding extra intrigue to Upamecano’s comments given the opponent and the stage.
